HITEC And Illinois Tech Partner To Empower Hispanic Students With $2M Scholarship Fund

The Hispanic Technology Executive Council (HITEC) and the Illinois Institute of Technology have come together to support the growth of Hispanic tech talent by opening the door to educational opportunities and scholarships within technology and business.

HITEC Foundation scholars and HITEC corporate Emerging Executive Program graduates looking to pursue an MBA or Master of Science degree from the Illinois Tech Stuart School of Business will be considered for scholarships worth up to $2 million.

HTEC is a global executive leadership organization comprised of senior technologists and business execs. HITEC empowers Hispanic tech professionals to accelerate leadership capacity through access to a network of high-level decision-makers. 

Similarly, the Illinois Institute of Technology is a tech-focused university that offers students guaranteed opportunities to pursue hands-on experiences. Their ethos centered around the power of difference in advanced technology, making it progressive. 

How will the partnership benefit the Hispanic community?

According to a press release, their goal is to see Hispanic leaders achieve lasting equity from the classroom to the boardroom. 

“We are committed to creating new programs that support the growth of Hispanic tech talent,” said chairman Guillermo Diaz Jr. 

“I am excited about our collaboration with Illinois Tech to fuel the representation of Hispanic technology leaders in corporate America and beyond. Our mission is to connect, inspire and grow influential Hispanic technology executives while developing the next generation of leaders.” 

Successful applicants will be offered a prestigious scholarship from the $2 million fund to commence their MBA or Master of Science degree from the Illinois Tech Stuart School of Business in Fall 2023.
