Fenty Beauty Launches AI-Powered Beauty Advisor On Whatsapp

Rihanna

Fenty Beauty has launched Rose Amber,” an AI-powered beauty advisor built for WhatsApp, as reported by Glossy. Users can get reviews, product recommendations, and tutorials through the chat. This marks the brand’s first partnership with Meta in the US.

“We’ve always wanted to partner with Meta more deeply,” Nanette Wong, global VP of marketing and communications at Fenty, told Glossy. “WhatsApp is so widely used all over the world, and our community and accessibility are important to us. So, we’re always thinking of new ways to connect with them.”

What is Rose Amber?

Over the last few years, Fenty has explored working with different digital platforms, including gaming platforms. But messaging allows the brand to connect with its customers.

“What I really loved about this one is this ability to have more of a one-on-one connection,” Wong said. “It can feel more relatable and conversational, versus looking at a site or looking up Reddit. This is very tailored to what they’re asking.”

Users can ask the brand questions related to skin issues, explore different products, and take quizzes. The assistant will suggest products, provide customer reviews, and creator videos.

About Fenty Beauty

Fenty Beauty was launched by singer Rihanna in 2017. It revolutionized the makeup industry after its launch with 40 shades of its Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation, which has now extended to 50. Fenty paved the way for other makeup brands that previously did not prioritize making products for all women of color.

The brand then launched Fenty Skin in 2020, selling products like Total Cleans’r Remove-It-All Cleanser, Fat Water Pore-Refining Toner Serum, and Hydra Vizor Invisible Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 30 Sunscreen

Fenty Beauty was named to Time magazine’s list of the 25 best inventions of 2017. In 2018, Fenty Beauty also won WWD Beauty Digital Innovator of the Year.
