Fan-Created AI Kingdom ‘Gag City’ Takes Social Media By Storm Ahead Of Nicki Minaj’s Pink Friday 2 Release

Nicki Minaj fans, Barbz, have created an AI kingdom, Gag City, ahead of the release of the artist’s Pink Friday 2 album.

The impressive pink creations have been trending across social media.

Barbz turn to AI

Gag City is an AI-generated kingdom created by Barbz. The pink alternative universe’s name is a wordplay for “gagged,” a slang to describe something amazing or stunning.

After Nicki shared the cover art on her album – with her standing on a pink subway in a pink-tinted city – fans came up with the idea of creating a full-fledged city using AI.

Gag City has been described as a stunning imagination, boasting pink waterfalls, mansions, skyscrapers, and an impressive collection of celebrity visitors.

William Shakespeare, Abby Lee Miller, the fictional character Daenerys Targaryen, and Lady Gaga all appeared in the AI universe.

Thanks to AI, fans have shared various versions of Gag City, from Anaconda Club to Pink Highways.

Gag City Takes Social Media By Storm

The hashtag #GAGCITY has pushed the release of Pink Friday 2 to the top of everyone’s feeds, with the album trending on X.

As of Thursday, 7 December 2023, over 71,000 tweets have been posted using #PinkFriday2.

Minaj herself got involved, tweeting, “As we begin to prepare for landing, please make sure your tray tables are put back up & your seat belts are tightly fastened. The captain has activated the ‘no bathroom’ sign. If you look out the window, you’ll begin to see the beauty…clear waters, pink dolphins…#GagCity #PF2.”

Other companies, such as Spotify, also hopped on the trend after releasing a map of where to find the fictional city in the US, noting that a new Sound Town had just arrived.

Amazon Music also did the same, saying they had booked their trip to the city.
