Black Female AR Founder Joins Apple’s Entrepreneur Camp

Dr. Tori Brown, the founder of Fresh Digital Media, is the latest founder to join Apple’s Entrepreneur camp

Fresh Digital Media, founded in 2018 by psychologist and business consultant Dr. Tori Brown, is a social tech enterprise providing business education to children and families.

The company works to engage and support communities’ business education and financial literacy using augmented reality (AR), interactive learning content, and music and art entertainment.

Dr. Tori Brown will join a cohort of 17 developers as part of Apple’s Entrepreneur camp and gain insight and inspiration from top Apple leaders.

Apple’s entrepreneur camp program – aimed at helping founders from underrepresented communities – exposes entrepreneurs to cutting-edge technology and mentorship to help them build longevity for their businesses. The camp aims to give founders the tools to turn their businesses into easy-to-use apps.

“I started this company to develop mobile apps and technology that wasn’t available in the app store for the populations we serve,” explained Dr. Brown in an online statement

“This app is an EdTech solution that awards school-aged children financial literacy and business development certification.”

The entrepreneur camp’s immersive technology lab will provide founders with one-on-one-code level guidance from experts and engineers. Once the camp concludes, participants will have access to an alumnus to help them build their business and ongoing support from the Apple team.

Dr. Tori Brown plans to release the platform’s first Augmented Reality (AR) mobile app in the App Store later this year.
