Black Women In Tech Launches First-Ever ‘Voices In The Shadow’ Festival

Global Tech Advocates Black Women In Tech has launched their first ever Voices In The Shadows festival, which will take place in London, UK this October.

The festival has been sponsored by industry giants including Google, HSBC, Goldman Sachs, Discovery+, and more.

Inspired by The Voices in The Shadow books, which was first published last year, the program will showcase the journeys of 51 Black women in the UK who have impacted the tech industry.

The event aims to provide all attendees with an intimate setting to help them connect with speakers, sponsors, and other invitees. In turn, the platform hopes the event will leave Black women and young Black girls feeling empowered to feel that there is a place for them to flourish professionally.

The day will consist of a keynote speech from Karima-Catherine Goundiam, CEO of B2Bee Match, and a panel talk with Catherine Adreniran, Engagement Manager at Amplitude, Cynthia Days, Founder and CEO of Diversifying Group and Bianca Hamilton, Visual Design Art Director at Deloitte.

The panel will discuss various topics, including the power of networking and the critical skills needed to create long-lasting opportunities.

Tickets are available for pre-order on Black Women In Tech’s website.
