A Latino Corporate Directors Association (LCDA) report has revealed a lack of Latinx representation on giant company boards.  Lack of representation on company boards According to the LCDA, Latino directors are missing from 47% of Fortune 100, 59% of Fortune 500, and 65% of Fortune 1000 boards. According to reports, small and large businesses across the U.S. will be recruiting more employees with criminal records.  The recent move comes after a labor shortage has made it extremely difficult for pharmacies, banks, and large corporations to hire staff. The world’s largest interviewing company, Karat, has announced that five of the world’s leading corporations have joined the Brilliant Black Minds program, which aims to double the number of Black software engineers in the US.  Partners of Brilliance Organizations such as Prime Video, Citi, Duolingo, Indeed, and Flatiron Health have joined the movement to commit further to developing Black engineers. According to Forbes, Tech accelerator program, Y Combinator, has chosen venture capitalist Garry Tan as its fourth leader in its 17-year history. Tech giant, Meta, has seen an unexpected increase in diverse hires since expanding its remote working options.  Facebook, also known as Meta, is one of many companies that have introduced new remote working options for its employees following the pandemic.
