Tuskegee University Receives Anonymous $20M Donation For STEM Development

Tuskegee University

Tuskegee University recently announced a $20 million donation to enhance its STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) programs and various campus facilities.

This gift, bestowed by an anonymous benefactor, marks the second $20 million gift in less than four years.

Fostering a Dynamic Campus Community

The donation’s generosity will facilitate the creation of faculty leadership positions and scholarships, helping to enhance the academic environment.

It will also improve student affairs and campus security staffing, contributing to a safer and more engaging student experience.

“This gift will allow us to invest in our students, faculty, programs, and infrastructure, enabling us to enhance our academic reputation, enrich the student experience, and continue our work to reach milestones within our strategic plan,” said Dr. Charlotte P. Morris, president of Tuskegee University.

“It will provide additional resources for us to implement vital initiatives, further securing the campus and fostering a more dynamic community.”

Additionally, the funds will support the development of STEM programs and applied research initiatives.

“We are grateful for this extraordinary act of philanthropy, which will undoubtedly leave a lasting impact on our university and its community,” Dr. Morris added.

This financial infusion will also match the university’s UNCF (United Negro College Fund) endowment fund, multiplying its effect and ensuring long-term benefits.
