Black Tech Founders’ Unique Partnership Brings UrbanGeekz Content To The Backseats Of Moovn Rideshares

UrbanGeekz, the digital news platform, has announced a content syndication deal with Moovn, a Black-owned ride-hailing service.

The collaboration marks the first time a Black-owned news platform has partnered with a ridesharing app to distribute media directly to passengers.

Redefining Passenger Experience

Embedded within the Moovn app, the content from UrbanGeekz will be accessible to passengers as they travel, transforming ride time into an engaging opportunity for consuming news, feature stories, and videos.

“I’ve always been someone who thinks outside the box,” said UrbanGeekz founder and CEO Kunbi Tinuoye.

“For years, I’ve had this huge vision to showcase our content to a captive audience of passengers sitting in the back seat of rideshares. We just needed to find alignment with the right partner, and that’s why we are so excited to collaborate with Moovn.”

Expanding Global Reach

The collaboration will extend UrbanGeekz’s reach, and Moovn, which operates in major cities across the United States and Africa, will also benefit from the enhanced service.

“I’m very excited by this fantastic partnership between Moovn and UrbanGeekz,” said Moovn founder and CEO Godwin Gabriel.

“We believe this deal will add enormous value for our riders and Moovn users who can now gain direct access to UrbanGeekz content on-ride, or even not on-ride through our subscription and email marketing campaigns.”
