We recently did a roundup of some of the hottest tech internships currently accepting applications, but we know some of you are also looking for something a little more permanent. On the POCIT jobs board, we’ve got loads of entry-level and junior roles for software engineers in the early stages of their careers. And for those studying at college, taking online courses, or attending a boot camp, tech internships provide a great way to get some much-needed industry experience. The Atlanta University Center Consortium (AUCC) has launched the Institute for Dual Degree Engineering Advancement (IDEA), a national hub for Dual Degree Engineering Programs across the US. As one of the world’s oldest and largest consortiums of historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs), the organization has a strong commitment to bettering the education system for Black students. The racial gap in Black engineering  Reports have revealed that Black and Latinx workers are vastly underrepresented in the science, technology, and engineering (STEM) industries. Despite organizations taking steps to close the racial

I am currently in the fourth week of my full-time coding boot camp, and it has certainly been a whirlwind. I have learned so much, and I am not talking about just coding. “Mediocre effort gets you mediocre results, average effort yields average results, and extraordinary effort yields extraordinary results.” I will circle back to this quote, but I had to start this article off with something impactful. The funding round, which Sequoia Capital led, also included venture capital firms Antler, Forward Partners, and Octopus Ventures.  The London-based company, founded in 2021 by Boris Tane, works to reduce the challenges developers often experience. Businesses can embrace automated observability ecosystems through their platform, which is highly beneficial for remote teams.  The platform also claims to offer highly flexible technology at a reduced cost by encouraging developers to run applications and manage servers on behalf of customers without needing to

I’ve always seen posts of people from tech Twitter who have shared that they got a job on Twitter or that online presence helped them secure a job. Little did I know that I would be a witness to this too. Welcome to all, and thank you for taking your time to read about my journey of how I got into tech, the challenges I’ve faced, the resources I’ve used, how I
