RoadPitch And Blacks In Technology Foundation Collaborate To Empower Black Tech Founders

Nonprofit organization Blacks In Technology Foundation (BIT) has announced a strategic partnership with RoadPitch, the most extensive multi-city pitch tour to help Black tech founders to raise pre-seed and seed capital from investors.

For over a decade, BIT has offered training, education, networking and mentorship opportunities to elevate Black professionals in the tech industry.

The nonprofit aims to “stomp the divide,” influencing and effecting change in an industry that has historically not sought parity concerning Black workers.

The Collaboration

The collaboration will see RoadPitch become BIT’s official international pitch competition organizer.

RoadPitch will provide access to a network of investors, founders, and resources after previous success and growth in tech ventures and Black entrepreneurs.

“This partnership will enable us to amplify our tours in a more impactful way,” said Rohan Brown, co-founder of RoadPitch.

“We want to highlight and work with emerging Black tech ecosystems across the globe.”

Upcoming Events

The collaboration will see two events being held to further empower and showcase upcoming Black tech founders.

The first is BITCON Conference in Nashville, which will be held two days from September 5 to September 7.

The conference is described as a premier event for Black tech professionals and will feature keynote speakers, workshops, career development sessions and a pitch competition hosted by RoadPitch.

The second event is RoadPitch Midwest Pitch Tour which will take place in October from the 9th to the 14th in Midwest.

This is RoadPitch’s third-pitch tour and will take place across multiple cities in the Midwest, providing Black tech entrepreneurs with an opportunity to present their innovative ideas to a panel of investors and mentors.
