Social Change Fund United, a non-profit founded by Chris Paul, Dwyane Wade, and Carmelo Anthony, is partnering with several HBCU students to provide them with scholarships. Founded in 2020 in response to racial injustice, the nonprofit aims to create equity and reduce the racial opportunity gap.

$40,000 scholarship for HCBU students

The Social Change Fund United has announced that applications for its annual scholarship for HBCU students are open. It is rewarding to offer $40,000 in scholarships to eight undergraduate or graduate business students attending an HBCU. Each student will receive $ 5,000.

Applicants must share how they plan to empower underrepresented communities and create a long-lasting economic impact.

The SCFU Visionary Ventures Program

In April, the non-profit organization announced its collaboration with Stackwell and the National Basketball Players Association Foundation (NBPA Foundation) to develop the SCFU Visionary Ventures Program. This program aims to support small businesses in Los Angeles and hopes to expand nationwide, as stated in a press release.

“The Visionary Ventures Program represents our commitment to creating change in underserved communities,” said Anthony, Paul, and Wade in a joint statement.

“By partnering with Stackwell, we’re offering holistic financial education and development resources to help businesses thrive, particularly during these challenging times as our community works to rebuild from the wildfires.”
