LeBron James’ Media Company Is Merging With ‘The Kardashians’ Producer
Two entertainment powerhouses, SpringHill Company and Fulwell 73, have announced a merger, combining their expertise in film, television, documentaries, live events, and branded content.
This union aims to position the newly formed company as a formidable player in the global entertainment industry.
A Merger of Equals
SpringHill, co-founded by LeBron James and Maverick Carter, is known for producing projects such as the HBO series The Shop, Netflix’s Hustle, and the upcoming docuseries On the Rise: JuJu Watkins.

he British production company boasts a strong portfolio that includes Hulu’s The Kardashians, Carpool Karaoke, CBS’s Grammy Awards telecasts, Disney+’s Ed Sheeran: The Sum of It All, and Netflix’s Sunderland ‘Til I Die.
The new company will operate offices in Los Angeles, New York, London, and Sunderland, enhancing its ability to produce diverse, globally resonant content.
Visionary Leadership and Investment
Maverick Carter and Leo Pearlman will serve as co-CEOs, steering the company’s growth and innovation.
Shareholders have pledged $40 million in new capital, with investors such as Nike, RedBird Capital, and Fenway Sports Group reaffirming their commitment.
This injection will fund strategic initiatives and bolster content creation capabilities.
“We admired SpringHill’s sophisticated branding and IP management, which align perfectly with Fulwell’s experience in live events and unscripted content,” Pearlman noted, according to Variety.
“The entertainment landscape is evolving, but the demand for high-quality, talent-driven content remains. This merger ensures we can meet that demand with unparalleled excellence,” Carter shared.
The deal is expected to close by the end of the year.
