Black-Owned Scheduling Platform Calendly Acquires Hiring Platform Prelude

Earlier this week, Calendly announced the acquisition of recruiting operating platform, Prelude to help further accelerate the platform’s vision of solving external scheduling challenges for individuals and members of the company.

Prelude, co-founded by Will Laufer and Alexander Soto, is a recruiting operation platform focused on improving the recruitment process to help improve the candidate’s experience.

Over the years, Prelude has transformed how companies approach hiring, from communications and prep to scheduling and logistics. In addition, by increasing transparency, Prelude’s enterprise has made the hiring process a lot more seamless for customers.

Prelude and Calendly joining forces will see both organizations align to continue building the best recruiting coordination solution out there.

A unified experience for customers

While both organizations differ in many ways, one thing they both have in common is their enthusiasm for building a customer-obsessed ecosystem that focuses on creating simple but delightful solutions to complex problems.

“Prelude and Calendly’s shared vision for the future is to provide one integrated solution for recruiting teams,” Calendly said in an online statement

“In the near term, the Prelude name and products will continue. Any future changes will be communicated to customers in advance. In the long term, we’ll merge Prelude into Calendly to provide a unified experience for our customers – a single scheduling platform for multiple departments within the organization.”

The collaboration creates an exciting future for both platforms as they seek new ways to build solutions for real people and make coordination a breeze.
