1. Dr. Claudia Natanson MBE – Chair, UK Cyber Security Council

Recognized by the Financial Times as a leading technology influencer, Dr. Claudia Natanson chairs the UK Cyber Security Council. She serves on the UK National Cyber Advisory Board and advises the European Commission as a registered expert. She worked as a nuclear scientist at the United Nations’ Atomic Spectroscopic Laboratory before transitioning to computing and cybersecurity. Her leadership experience spans FTSE 100, Fortune 500, and government organizations. In 2022, she received an MBE in the Queen’s 2022 Honours list for her services to the cybersecurity profession.

2. Dr Iretioluwa Akerele – Co-Founder, CyBlack

Dr. Iretioluwa Akerele is a cybersecurity professional with more than a decade of experience in information security, data privacy, risk management, and governance. She holds a PhD in Information Systems Security and is the co-founder of CyBlack, a nonprofit organization that provides opportunities for cybersecurity talent to start and advance their careers. She also serves on the advisory board of the CyberSafe Foundation, where she supports initiatives such as the CyberGirls Fellowship, a free one-year program that equips young women in underserved African communities with the skills and certifications necessary for cybersecurity careers.

3. Tom Ilube CBE – Founder, Crossword Cybersecurity

A technology entrepreneur and educational philanthropist, Tom Ilube is the founder and non-executive chair of Crossword Cybersecurity plc, a research-driven company working with leading universities. Ilube began his career as a programmer for British Airways after being rejected for many other graduate trainee schemes. He later worked at major organizations, including the London Stock Exchange, Goldman Sachs, PwC, and founded multiple tech startups. Ilube is also the chair of the African Science Academy, the continent’s first all-girls science and math school, and previously topped the Powerlist, being named the most influential Black Briton.

4. Lola Grace – Cybersecurity Content Creator

Lola Grace has become one of the most visible cybersecurity content creators online, with tens of thousands of followers. Her mission: to demystify the many roles in cybersecurity. Through her TikTok channel @lolalovestech, recognized as a Top 50 Cybersecurity TikTok Influencer in 2025, she blends lifestyle and tech content, offering free guides, practical tips, and career advice. She has mentored over 100 people into tech roles and built a community that supports newcomers and career changers alike. For many, her work is a first step into the world of cybersecurity.

5. Professor Simon Hepburn – CEO, The Security Institute

Professor Simon Hepburn is CEO of The Security Institute, the UK’s largest professional body for security professionals. A 25-year veteran of the security and education sectors, he was previously the founding CEO of the UK Cyber Security Council, developing it into a respected, Royal Chartered organization known for setting cybersecurity standards and chartership, a world-first professional recognition in cybersecurity. He has been recognized as one of the 100 most influential Black Britons in 2023.

6. Ibukun Emmanuel-Adebayo – Cybersecurity & Fraud Risk Consultant and Founder, Ladder Back Down

Ibukun Emmanuel-Adebayo is a seasoned cybersecurity and risk consultant, as well as the founder of The Ladder Back Down, which mentors and uplifts professionals of color and young people. Born in South East London, she began her career as a broadcaster and journalist before entering tech as a systems engineer. She has since held senior roles, including Head of IT at London’s iconic music venue, the Royal Albert Hall. In 2022, she was named one of the UK’s Top 30 Influential Women in Cybersecurity.
