Revolt Owner Offscript Takes On The Gaming Industry With 3BlackDot Acquisition

Revolt’s parent company, Offscript Worldwide, has acquired Black-owned gaming and digital media company 3BlackDot (3BD), marking its entry into the $347 billion global gaming market, as first reported by Variety.
The acquisition brings together two influential Black-led companies. The financial details of the deal have not been disclosed.
3Blackdot joins Offscript
With over 128 million YouTube subscribers, 3BlackDot has lent its hand to producing entertainment IPs, including “Gaming While Black” and “Alpha Betas,” the feature film “Queen & Slim,” and the book series “The Proudest Blue” and “The Kindest Red.”
CEO Reginald Cash has led Revolt since 2017, buying it from its previous parent company, Webedia SA, in 2022, making it one of the few Black-owned media companies. Revolt was named one of Fast Company’s Most Innovative Companies, and Cynopsis, Digiday, and The Shorty Awards have recognized the company’s work.
“3BlackDot has built one of the most respected creator networks in digital media. With Offscript’s full-stack infrastructure behind them—from IP development to distribution and monetization—we’re positioned to scale their impact across new platforms, audiences, and revenue models,” Offscript and Revolt CEO Detavio Samuels said.
A New Chapter for Offscript
This acquisition comes on the heels of a major corporate transformation. In April, Revolt TV was restructured under a new single entity, Offscript Worldwide, housing some of the most influential labels in music management (440 Artists), creator economy management (Rebel House), and brand and experiential marketing (Six Zeros).
Offscript states that this acquisition supports its broader plan to build a media infrastructure that opens up new opportunities for creators, particularly those from underrepresented communities, allowing them to retain control over their work while building scalable IP.
Revolt has cut all ties to its co-founder, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs. Combs stepped down as chairman in 2023 and sold his majority stake in the company in 2024, holding no shares nor equity in Revolt.
