Black-Owned NIL Marketing Firm Launches AI Agent To Help HBCU Athletes Profit From Their Brand

Peter Iwuh, founder of Tykoon Sports Agency, the first Black-owned NIL marketing firm, has launched Tykoon AI, AfroTech reports.
The new platform, created with Co-founder and Chief Technical Officer Omogbolade Ajayi and Chief Growth Officer Alexander Turner is designed to help underrepresented athletes at HBCUs, smaller schools and lesser-known conferences take advantage of name, image and likeness (NIL) opportunities.
What is Tykoon AI?
Tykoon AI is an all-in-one platform that enables students to connect with local businesses through its interactive merchant map. The app allows athletes to choose their school, gender, hometown, and several interests, including fitness and training, traveling and culture, technology and gadgets, and more.
More importantly, the app enables underrepresented athletes to connect with national brands and explore open NIL deals, including requirements and earning potential. Users will also be able to view affiliate deals on the platform, with Iwuh stating that they are already in talks to onboard several brand partners from his agency.
Creating merchandise for athletes
The platform also features a tool called GamePlan AI, which helps users create ideas for merchandise, brand partnerships, or content. Users can use the AI agent to create weekly content plans, including scripts and captions.
“We used to work with a lot of student athletes, providing them with ideas manually as an agency. Now, those are the ideas that we fit into the AI to make sure that it’s not just giving users generic ideas, but also ideas that help student athletes actually create content that’s relevant… We don’t want it to look like a simple ChatGPT response,” Iwuh told AFROTECH™.
